It was mid-afternoon of Wednesday March 2nd, when Terminal Container Ravenna (TCR), the Contship Italia Group Adriatic Gateway, welcomed the maiden call of M/V CS Discovery.
After the call of M/v MSC Shirley on January 14th , this is the second ship recently introduced by MSC in its Adriatic D Service, connecting weekly Ravenna to Greece, Cyprus, Egypt, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey.
With a nominal capacity of 3.091 TEUs and an LOA of 220 meters, CS Discovery, was berthed immediately upon her arrival in Ravenna, with TCR ready to start immediately the loading and discharging operations.
As customary in TCR, during the discharging and loading operations a ceremony for the maiden call was held on board the ship, with Davide Aloisi (TCR Ship Planner) presenting a customized crest to the Ship Master Capt. Heiko Lysse.
