It wasn’t the Pink Panther, Pink Floyd or even a Pink Elephant, but Contship Italia was ‘tickled pink’ to see a brand new ONE container recently handled at its intermodal facility, Rail-Hub Milano (RHM).
Despite the clouds and light rain that fell during the day there was a welcome splash of brightness, when the new magenta coloured 40ft Hi-cube container, having arrived by rail from La Spezia Container Terminal, was immediately loaded on to a Hannibal truck for final delivery to the customer.
ONE is the new shipping line that began operations on April 1st this year, following the merger of the container divisions of the big three Japanese lines (“K” Line, MOL and NYK). The corporate colour scheme adopted by the new company certainly brightened up the day at RHM.
