Starting September 26th, 2019, Rail Hub Milano will be directly connected to Vienna by a new rail service, running with a frequency of two round trips per week.
The Melzo-Vienna rail service will further expand RHM connectivity to Central Europe, through the Wien Süd freight centre, strategically located on three trans-European rail axes, offering extended connectivity to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia.
This new service represents a valuable logistics solution for maritime and continental transport and a competitive intermodal opportunity for a road to rail switch, offering fast transit times and extended connectivity through RHM and Wien Süd freight centre intermodal networks. On the new service will be possible to load dangerous goods.
