Contship will be attending and presenting at the Swiss Shippers’ Forum from 29th January to 30th January 2020, to share its experience in managing supply chain risks that impact cargo owners, forwarders, logistics operators worldwide due to disruptive unexpected events.
The theme of this year’s Forum is “Force Majeure and its Effects on Our Decisions”, which aims to explore the responsibilities, obligations and various pre-emptive actions of the different supply-chain stakeholders in face of force majeure events, such as war, extreme weather conditions, political uprisings, and major crises.
During the first day of the Forum, Mr. Daniele Testi, Marketing and Communications Director of the Group, will be presenting at the session “Rastatt and Genoa Incidents - What precautions can forwarders/shippers take?”
“Since 2013, Contship has strongly and successfully invested in developing a reliable rail connection between Basel and the Italian Ports, especially La Spezia, overcoming many challenges due to force majeure events. We are therefore committed to providing Swiss cargo owners, forwarders and logistics operators competitive and reliable logistics options through our Southern Gateway and our unique intermodal services to better balance their risks linked with supply chain delays and disruptions.
