Double maiden calls for LSCT April 16 - 17

A busy weekend for maiden calls at La Spezia Container Terminal (LSCT) with the arrival of two maiden calls – A15 class (15,000 TEUs) Al Murabba and the CMA CGM Musset.

Deployed by United Arab Shipping Company S.A.G. in the Asia Med Container service 1 (AMC1) and Med North America service (MENA) respectively, both ships made their debut in La Spezia on Saturday 16th.

For the Al Murabba, named after an historical settlement in the city of Riyadh, the first voyage to the Mediterranean incorporating La Spezia was one to remember as the master and crew were called upon to support a humanitarian rescue effort involving 350 souls. A special thanks, saluting the actions by the crew as well as its debut in La Spezia.

Operations on both ships were completed on Sunday, with crews of CMA CGM Musset and Al Murabba receiving a warm welcome at the terminal.
